Jay's room is tidy in a way that only happens when Jay's on his way out of the door about. But it's clear he doesn't want to be.

Jay strips off without waiting. "Straightforward and uncomplicated? Fuck me senseless while drinking from my throat?" He offers, skipping any sort of foreplay. It's them, they don't need it.

Eric breaks the kiss and retracts his fangs, looking down at Jay.
"I'll assume you're still alive then," he says.dryly.

It wasn't like he was worried.

It would just have been a hassle. That's all.

"Mostly." Jay huffs a soft laugh, happy to be a puddle just a little longer. Just till the blood really kicks in. "Just when I thought sex with you couldn't get any wilder."

"That wasn't even -" Eric says, as he gets up and grabs a towel for himself before turning off the water.

"I mean, you wouldn't be able to handle really wild. You'd break."

He means it too.

Jay starts to respond with some snappy joke or bold bravado.

Then thinks about it and shuts up, instead gesturing for Eric to throw him a towel.

Eric does just that. And then he focuses in rubbing his hair dry.

It takes Jay a couple of attempts to be sure enough of his feet (and knees) to get up. But he gets there and starts towelling off himself. There might be a little blood left on his thighs but that can wait.

He takes a long drink of water from the tap, looking himself over in the mirror. "Think I'm good." It's not meant as a dismissal but to let Eric know he's safe to leave if he needs to.

Or to stop him worrying.

Which he clearly isn't.

Eric briefly closes his eyes and listens.

Hearts don't lie. At least heartbeats don't.

And Jay heart is... steadying. If not yet as stong as it could be, on its way there quick enough. He's going to need sleep and a big meal but he'll recover.

"You should probably sit down for a bit."

He lets the towel fall to the floor and heads out of the bathroom to get his clothes.

Jay manages to slink over to the bed and flops down. "Yeah, I could do with a nap."

[onceaviking]

"Drink some water first," Eric says as he pulls on his jeans.

[runningred]

He mutters a complaint and reaches over to night-stand for a bottle of water.

[onceaviking]

"You know I am right," Eric says as he finishes doing up his jeans and pulls on his top.

[runningred]

"Yeah, I know." He drags himself up to sit against the bed-head, sipping the water.

[onceaviking]

Eric fingercombs his hair.
And listens to Jay's heartbeat.

Just in case.

[runningred]

It's steady. Steady enough. He'll need a serious nap and meal but he'll be fine.

He gives Eric a smile and gives him a gentle wave. "I'm fine."

[onceaviking]

"I know."

Dismissively.

Seemingly satisfied with his hair, Eric goes looking for his shoes.

[runningred]

"Was good to see you, Eric." Jay hums softly as he lays back down. "Seems like I've been missing a lot of people lately so it was good to catch up with you before I go back."

[onceaviking]

"Yeah?"Eric says, seemingly more interested in lacing up his boots.

[runningred]

"Granted I've been hiding out on the garage but I don't think I've seen Autor for a while, or Rae. Or Emcee." His voice trails off, going soft. "I worried about him."

[onceaviking]

"I saw him a while ago. He was fine."

Not addressing the others because really, he couldn't care less.


Not that he cares about Emcee.

"I'm sure he's fine."

Why wouldn't he be?
Also, not caring.

[runningred]

"How long ago?" He asks curiously, sipping more of the water.

[onceaviking]

Eric considers this.

"There was a couple of days, a week maybe? Where things were even weirder than normal around here? It was a couple of days after that."

So a while.
Actually.

[runningred]

"That weird week was almost a mouth again now." Jay's voice has a distinctly worried edge.

[onceaviking]

Eric lifts an eyebrow at him.

"I'm sure he is fine. He was fine when he left."
Not all the while during, granted. That might carry through. Just a bit.
