Jay's room is tidy in a way that only happens when Jay's on his way out of the door about. But it's clear he doesn't want to be.

Jay strips off without waiting. "Straightforward and uncomplicated? Fuck me senseless while drinking from my throat?" He offers, skipping any sort of foreplay. It's them, they don't need it.

"Not is good way, I take it?" Jay asks softly. If it was anyone else, he'd ask if Eric was okay.

Eric shrugs and looks away.
Briefly.

"Sometimes, he likes to pretend that I am not dangerous, I think. That's a bad idea."

"And like any squishy humans human in love, he forgets." Jay nods. "Yeah, I can see how that could happen." Says the man close to death less than half hour ago.

Eric scoffs.

"Please," he says.

Don't say that, Jay.

Jay laughs and waves him away. "Wasn't saying I'm that dumb."

"Good. Anyway, as I said, he was fine."

Another pause.

"He showed up here, during that week, by the way."

"Who was he? I can barely remember the shit that went on that week. I know I was... someone else."

Eric shrugs.

"Himself. Just older."

And broken.

[runningred]

"Is it wrong of me to hope that's the future? That he'll make it long enough to get old?" Jay muses, glancing over the a key hanging from a chain on the nightstand.

Eric doesn't answer.

It's not like he cares one way or another.

He runs a hand through his hair again.
"Right.I'm off."

You're not fooling Jay, Eric.

But he lets it slide. "It was good to see you. And thanks, that was fun." Given his definition of fun.

"Yeah. Likewise."

Eric heads for the door.

[runningred]

Jay lets him go with a small wave, not complicating the conservation further. "Stay safe."
