movie night with Sherral

Jay's room has gotten bigger to include a large tv, a surround sound system and a very comfy looking couch with big cushions; the sort you can happily fit a few people or fall asleep on.

"Make yourself comfortable." Jay lays out the basket of steak pies, steamed veg with cheese and chunky roast root vegetables with bacon. All food that can be easily eaten with one hand. He puts A New Hope on and joins Sherral on the couch.

Sherral kisses back with enthusiasm, sliding his good arm around Jay.

I hate seeing you hurt. You matter to me. I think I love you. all these thoughts go very much unsaid as Jay holds Sherral close, careful of his injuries.

When he does manage to break the kiss (with great effort), he manages a smile and brushes a hand through Sherral's hair. "We should have a lazy day and watch movies."

"A lazy day. Not had one of those in years," Sherral says wryly, catching Jay's hand and pressing a kiss to his knuckles. "You'll have to teach me."

"Well, we start with a decadent breakfast and not getting out of comfortable robes, Them we sprawl on the couch and watch a movie. Then we maybe put another one on or maybe find some other way to pass the time..."

"You're clearly well-practiced at this," Sherral says playfully. "We should start with breakfast and robes, then."

"Only when I get the chance to enjoy it with someone." Jay smiles and fishes in his wardrobe for fluffy warm robes before sticking his head out the door to find a rat and order food. Full English breakfast with the lot.

Sherral gets up and tugs on a robe, keeping his arm within the folds of them rather than taking it out of the sling. "Can't be that infrequently, then. You're an affable person, you've no shortage of friends."

Jay turns to watch him, his eyes quiet and serious for a moment. "I... have friends, some I share my bed with but... no many I'd share my day with. Not the way I want to with you."

Sherral meets his gaze, before silently reaching over and sifting his fingers through Jay's hair, sliding down to cup his cheek.

Jay turns into the touch and kisses Sherral's palm. "Sorry, we're meant to be relaxing, not getting serious. How about I put some more tea on and we have another go at the movie."

"Aye, that sounds like a good idea," Sherral says, dropping a quick kiss onto Jay's cheek.

Jay makes the most of the kiss before giving him a gentle nudge towards the couch, making them both comfortable. He sits with an arm around Sherral, keeping him closer and warm in his arms as they watch the movie.

Sherral keeps his attention on it this time, occasionally making a wry remark, and every so often making a remark upon the Empire's poor strategy decisions ("An exposed weak spot on their giant death ship? Do they not have failsafes?").

Jay agrees and points out the many flaws in the stormtrooper armour. All the time he keeps an arm around Sherral's shoulder, his fingers brushing restlessly over his skin.

When the film ends, Sherral squints at the screen for a moment. "That was a fun film, I admit."

"There are two more if you feel up for it." His fingers still trace lazy patterns over Sherral's skin.

Sherral laughs. "Do you want to? Watch them, I mean."

"It's been a while since I've seen them." He muses, still stroking Sherral's shoulder. "But it's up to you."

"I'm more than happy to watch them."

Jay kisses Sherral's shoulder and gets up to put on Empire Strikes Back, and makes some more popcorn.

He's trying hard not to think about how nice this is; to just hold Sherral and chill out with him.

Sherral does give a good-natured grumble when Jay gets up, but once the film he's on he's happy to settle back against Jay, settling his head against the other man's shoulder.

Prevailing opinion from him seems to be that this is a superior film to the first.

Jay soothes the grumble with gentle kisses and a massage when he returns. Unless he's on his belly with his finger on the trigger of sniper rifle, Jay's hand are rarely still and with Sherral in his arms, he's somewhat tactile.

"The third one is my favourite." He agrees, getting up to stretch. "How is your arm feeling?"

"It hurts," he says honestly. "Painkillers were offered, but I wasn't too keen on the idea of being so - dulled."

"Dull is slow. Slow is dead. I understand. But if you want to take something here, you can. You know you're safe and I'm pretty sure I still have some of the wonder cocktail Jemma made me after Dick caved my ribs. It helps a lot with foging the senses much."

Sherral squints at him.

"I'd not heard about your ribs being caved."
