Jay kisses Tahno's shoulder and gets up from the bed, stretching languidly. He pads across the floor, unselfconscious in his nakedness and pleasantly sore. "Drink?" He calls over his shoulder, pulling two glasses from the cupboard.

Tahno folds his hands behind his neck, popping his elbows in the air and crossing his feet at the ankle. He's blatantly enjoying the view, and making plans to enact as soon as Jay returns to the bed.

"Drink would be lovely," he drawls, quite comfortable where he is. "You gotta nice shower. I say we test it out again later."

Jay grins over his shoulder as he pours them each a glass of whiskey. "I like it. It's provided itself quite popular with a few of my friends."

He sits himself comfortingly against the bed-end, his legs stretched out so his ankle brushed gently against Tahno's hip.

"Chyeah! I bet it has," Tahno drawls, snickering. He reaches down to clasp Jay's foot in his fingers, stroking his thumbs up the arches. "You gotta lotta friends? Wouldn't surprise me."

"A few," Jay confesses with a smile. "This place can be pretty good for making friends. I'd imagine you've made a few of your own?"

[hot_water]

"Yeah, a few," Tahno drawls, rubbing the top of his foot, slowly working down to the sole. "A coupla sparrin' partners, another short baker, some scary chick."

He chuckles. "And you. I kinda like you a lot."

Jay purrs lightly, curling his toes. "Sounds like you've gotten yourself a good little circle of friends."

[hot_water]

Tahno reverses directions and rubs towards the top, lessening his pressure as he goes. "Yeah, I'm kinda surprised, y'know? Didn't expect that," he muses. "So tell me about yerself. What's yer favorite food? Whaddya like ta do for fun and stuff?"

Tahno can guess a couple of activities on the fun list.

Jay returns the favour, picking up Tahno's foot and massaging the curve of his ankle.

"My favourite food? Is that really what you want to know about me?" Jay asks, an eyebrow raised. "Mostly I build motorcycles for fun. And train."

[hot_water]

"Point, point," Tahno chuckles, working Jay's heel with both his thumbs. "Whaddya train for?"

"My other job involves... being able to get myself out of difficult situations. Doesn't hurt to be ready for just about anything."

[hot_water]

"Like yer sweet handcuff tricks," Tahno drawls, rolling his fist up Jay's arches. "Which I also like, by the way. So what's yer other job?"

Jay gives him a wicked smile. "I know you enjoy that. Making squirm while I'm trying to pick the locks is becoming quite a party trick with you."

"I am..." the answer requires thought, "A freelance vigilante, I guess. There's not exactly an easy job description for what I do."

[hot_water]

"Doesn't hurt to keep ya informed," Tahno drawls, his own grin just a touch wicked. He massages around Jay's ankle bone. "Freelance vigilante? So no one pays ya to round up bad guys?"

"You know I love to hear it. And you. Especially when you're moaning." He teases warmly, enjoying the touch as he idly plays with the turn of Tahno's calf.

"No but I'm not sure what else I know how to do."

[hot_water]

Tahno tickles the bottom of his foot playfully. "I'll moan extra loud, then," he teases back, and then cocks his head as he returns to massaging Jay's foot, pulling on his toes.

"You can build motorcycles fer fun," he points out. "That's not nothin'. I bet there's other shit you can build just fine, too."

Jay squirms a little and gives Tahno a gentle push with his foot. "You moan just as loud as you need to."

"All sorts of fun things. From security systems to keyrings." Jay chuckles, a little proudly. "I have thought about going into tech work for the hero community back home, if things work out over Christmas but... have to wait and see if that works out."

[hot_water]

"We might get in trouble with yer neighbors, if that's the case," Tahno drawls, raising a brow. He doesn't sound like he cares much.

"Oh, yeah? What happens over Christmas, man?" Tahno asks, nudging his hip with his toes.

"Trust me when I say, these walls are soundproofed." Jay says with great confidence.

He nudges back with a half shrugs. "I need to make peace with my family. Things are a bit... tense. It seems like now might be the times to settle things."

[hot_water]

Tahno laughs--and loudly, he may as well. It's a deep, rich sound, rumbling from his chest. "Why does that not surprise me? You sneaky cad."

Still grinning, he switches to Jay's other foot to stroke his thumbs into the man's arches. "Ah, I gotcha. And... that's gonna be dangerous?"

"Hey! I didn't request it. I honestly think my neighbours might have complained. The soundproofing turned up about the same time as the shower expansion."

"Oh gods, you're good at that." He purrs. "Yeah, my family life is kind of complicated. It could get messy."

[hot_water]

Tahno laughs again, shaking his head. "Well, now you got it, and good for us, man."

He tugs Jay's foot, leaning forward to kiss his toes, before really pressing into the man's heel. "Do ya need help?" he offers. It's not one he makes lightly.

He shakes his head and pulls away, rocking up onto his knees to pull Tahno into a slow kiss. "You're beautiful and wicked and I love fooling around with you but... the bad shit from my world has a way of following me. I don't want anyone else I care about getting hurt." Else. "I got to do this on my own."

[hot_water]

Tahno cups Jay's cheek, an affectionate gesture given how many bruises they gave each other last night. "I gotcha, man. You do what you gotta do, awright?" he drawls, and follows that up with another languid kiss, nipping Jay's bottom lip to end it. "If ya can promise to stay safe, great, but if ya can't... Well, I gotcha there, too."

"I'll be back. That's all I can promise." Jay whispers, kneeling over him and sweeping his hair gently back from his face. "But it might not be until after the new year."

[hot_water]

Tahno's pleased that Jay knows how to handle his hair, unlike some people.

The boy catches Jay's fingers and turns them up to leave a lingering kiss on his wrist, before scraping his teeth across the sensitive skin there. "Good. I wanna see ya again," he drawls, tracing the fingers of his freehand down Jay's chest. "Hear ya again. Taste ya again."
