Jay leads Eric up to his room, closing the door quietly behind them. “Like I said, within reason so if anything I suggest or ask doesn’t do it for you, just say.”

He steps back, starting to strip off. “I want to ride you. Not top you,” he add hastily, “I know it’s not your thing so I won’t ask but be on top of you, fucking myself on you.”

"My two are back with their tribe. The others.... lets just say the Red Cross got a sizable donation towards helping the rest of the girls find their way home or into new, loving families." Jay took the time to empty the traffickers' safe on his way out.

"Ah," he says.

Looking away.

"I should get going. And you should probably sleep."

Jay nods and watching Eric from the bed. Anyone else he would steal a kiss goodbye or a last hug but that's not who they are.

"Before you go, Anuli left something for you. To say sorry for upsetting you but I suspect it's more Pam's style." He fishes something out from his drawer and tosses to Eric. It's a little yellowish stone about the shape of an eight sided dice. An uncut diamond.

Eric catches it, reflexively.

His face is closed as he looks at the stone, holding it between thumb and forefinger.
Unreadable.

"It's up to you if you want it." Jay mutters, not pushing the point any further. "Thanks for tonight."

Eric's eyes flick to Jay's face and away again.

"I miss him all the time," he says. Looking away.
"All the time. I can't -"

He stops, looking down at the small stone.

"I can't miss him. "

And then he pockets it. Because he cannot do that either.

Jay gets off the bed and crosses to Eric, not touching but within reach if...

He wants to say something that will help, something to ease Eric's pain but he knows there are no words that can do that. Instead he holds out his hand to Eric.

Eric looks down at the offered hand.

He doesn't take it.

Instead he steps closer and runs his lips down the side of Jay's neck, putting his arms around him.
Not embracing him. Listening to his blood, feeling it against his lips.
Not holding him.

Then he lets go.

It may not be an embrace to Eric but it is to Jay who hugs Eric back for the moment he allows it and lets him go as soon as he pulls away. Without a word.

It may be more of an embrace to Eric than he would ever be willing to admit.

"I'll see you around," he says.
Leaving quietly and closing the door behind him.

"You will." Jay smiles and lets him go. He flops back onto the bed with a sigh.

Is it possible for their arrangement... relationship... thing, to get any weirder?
