Jay's fingers scrape against the bench in an effort to keep his hands still. "Don't," He breathes, too soft for anyone else to hear. "don't tease. Please? Just do it."

"I'm not doing it to get your attention." Jay grumbles back, massaging the back of his neck. "You got me a good one across the back of the head while we were sparring and despite your blood, I'm a bit stiff. Need to go back to that hotel of yours and get another massage. I'm getting old." He's barely 21.

And then Eric is standing next to him - very close - his cool fingers digging into the offending muscles.

"Yes, you are," he says. "You may not mean to, but yes you are."

Jay groans and lets Eric work, bracing his arms against the wall. "Hey, I don't go around blaming you for being gorgeous all the time. It's not my fault I look tasty."

"Remember to be careful around other vampires," Eric admonishes as he keeps massaging Jay's neck.
"I can curb my urges. Others may not bother. "

Jay blinks an acknowledgement, enjoying the massage too much to move. "I'd say I'll wear a scarf next time I'm in your bar but the heat would kill me sure as your customers." But he will wear a shirt with the collar up, just to be careful.

"Scrapes, cuts. Arching your neck invitingly. It can all land you with the wrong kind of attention."

His fingers still.
"Or the right kind. Until it becomes the wrong kind."

Jay chuckles and rests a hand on Eric's hip. "I'll be careful. I promise. I'm not accurately suicidal enough to play up to a vampire who's control I don't trust."

"You shouldn't trust me too much either, Jay," Eric replies, letting his eyes linger on Jay's neck.

[runningred]

Jay signs and stretches out languidly, showing off his neck, somewhat more deliberately. "Shouldn't I? We both seem to enjoy my masochistic tendencies." But Eric's thoughtfulness is appreciated.

Eric hums something that may be agreement. Running his cool fingers down Jay's neck this time. Feeling his pulse.

His pulse is steady and strong. Eric's blood is a wonderful thing. He doesn't move his hand from Eric's hip, just kinda leans into the touch, a little like a petted cat.

[onceaviking]

Eric dips his head and breathes deeply.

He can smell it. Through Jay's skin, beneath the scent of his body.

The blood.

Naked in the shower, its kinda hard to hide how turned in he is. Not that he's even trying.

[onceaviking]

Eric takes another deep breath and this time it comes out as something between a purr and a growl.

He doesn't really sound safe.

[runningred]

And yet Jay's moaning, like the slut he is. Eric's growl has a terrible effect on his libido, like fanning a fire. The fact he knows Eric could kill him at any moment only makes it worse. Or is that better?

Eric briefly rests his mouth against Jay's skin. Then he abruptly moves away.

"I think we had better call it a night," he says. His voice is hoarse.

Jay growls with frustration, so tempted to push it.

But no-one needs another infirmary trip.

He closes his eyes and focuses on slowing down his heart and breathing. "If you say so." There's no bitterness there, just the frustration they're both feeling. He turns off the taps as grabs a towel, tossing one to Eric.

Eric dries off, moving at vampire speed, and moves out of the bathroom to get dressed again.

He looks tense.

[runningred]

Jay moves as fast as human speed will allow, pulling on some shorts at least. "Take off if you need to." Jay offers, towelling his hair. "I'll stay up here out of your path tonight if it'll help."

"It's being trapped here. I want to kill something," Eric grinds out.
He is not being metaphorical.

[runningred]

Jay leans against the door frame for a moment, quietly thoughtful. "You could always take a trip to my world. As long as we're quiet about it, there's a few people who the world could do without." He means it too, it's not an ideal thought.

[onceaviking]

"You have no idea how tempting that is," Eric says .
Then he shakes his head.

"I had better not."

[runningred]

"I'm going back to Gotham soon. There are parts of my past it's time to face up to but before I leave Africa, there are things I need to do. There are people I need to punish. I will kill these men, messy and bad. To be honest I'd be glad of a hunting partner."

[onceaviking]

Eric looks thoughtful.
Then he says, slowly, "Perhaps I should like for you to keep your illusions about me intact. For now at least."

Which is - actually rather honest. Coming from him.

"And maybe it's best for you not to see that side of me either." After all, there is no-one else here he would show that to.
