Jay leads Eric outside into the dark of the garden. He still smells of clean sweat and healthy human male. He shreds his jacket and nods towards a bench. "From the wrist okay with you? I know you prefer the throat but I can understand if that's too intimate for you."

Eric relaxes against him, his body going as soft and pliant as it can.

"How do you feel?" Jay asks softly, still stroking Eric, half expecting him to purr.

"Better," Eric whispers, turning his face towards Jay's neck.
His breath is cool.

"Thank you."

[runningred]

"What are friends for." Jay smiles and kisses Eric's hair. "We should get in soon. I don't know how close to dawn we are."

That provokes a yawn, complete with outstretched arms and closed eyes.

"Alright, you big lion." Jay laughs, ruffling Eric's hair. "Inside and sleep, you."

Eric smiles. And then he hesitates.
"Can I sleep in your room?"

He doesn't like sleeping alone.

[runningred]

"Sure. But I can't sleep with you all day. But if you don't mind me work quietly while you rest, we can do that." He brushes back Eric's hair. "Don't like being alone?"

"No," Eric says, earnestly.
"I like when there is someone there."

[runningred]

"Come on upstairs then." Jay smiles, pulling his jacket back on to cover the bloodstains on his neck.

He gets to the door of his room and stops, remembering that Eric will have forgotten he's allowed in. "You're welcome in my room."

He opens the door, calling out to the room systems. "Windows, Northman protocol." Light-tight shutters close and lock over the windows. "Do you want a shower before you crash?"

Eric walks over to look at the shutters, delighted by the way they come down. Just like that.

"Okay," he says.

He gestures towards the bathroom. "Help yourself. Just let me know if you want someone to wash your back." He jokes warmly.

Eric smiles and heads into the bathroom. Oblivious.

As the smile was not an explicit request for company, Jay leaves it at that, letting Eric enjoy his shower. Instead he pulls out some sleepwear that might fit Eric and sets up a project he's been working on on one of the far benches.

Eric returns, a little damp and draped carefully in a too small towel.

He takes the offered sleepwear and pulls it on.

Jay was right.
It almost fits him.

A little short in the legs, a little tight in the chest area.

Jay keeps his back to Eric, giving him privacy to get changed. Yeah, it might be a bit small but damn, doesn't Eric look good!

"Lay down. I'll just get cleaned up and join you if you like?"

Eric nods, smiling.

"I'd like that," he says, as he climbs into bed.

Jay jumps into a shower himself, coming out clean and warm. He stretches out next to Eric, giving him room to decide how near he wants to be.

Close it seems.

Eric snuggles close, folding one arm around Jay.

Jay holds him, stroking his hair softly as Eric drifts into dawn and sleep. It's kinda adorable. He'll sleep too, at least for a few hours.
