{From here}
Jay slips down the hood of his suit, letting the drones do one last sweep to makes sure everything is sealed. He doesn't take the bike this time but goes on foot, heading straight for the smaller nest of demon rabbits in the lower caves.
This version of the suit keeps his thermal signature down to ambulant and filters breath and sweat to keep his scent from being detected.

Eric stops - and then he hurls himself into the air, to be able to use all of his senses to find Jay.

When it lands and cracks some distance away, there's a sudden flurry of activity as demon bunnies rush towards the scent.

Not quite.
Still -
The night sky is empty.
And then there's a vampire on the ground.
Pop goes the demon bunny.
Bunnies.
It wasn't Jay. But it is still fun.

It doesn't smell like Jay. And it doesn't move like Jay.
Still -
He drops the dripping carves and takes off again, riding into the air with blood dripping hands.

And while the blood on his hands slowly cools and dries, he comes to a halt, hanging silent and still in the darkness.

He shifts his chin minutely to activate a toggle inside his helmet. Another scent bomb, this one set as a mine, activates near the caves 2 miles off. There's a sudden rush of movement in that direction.

It's an involuntary sound.
An inhuman sound.

Almost too faint too detect.
There's a pause.
Then Eric makes a noise again. Deeper. More drawn out.

Eric grins and then he drops fang.

He is pretty certain he is moving in roughly the right direction.

Breathing.
Tasting the air.

Eric growls again. A little softer this time.

Few beings can be as still as a vampire.
As patient.
Waiting.
