OOM - distraction Sherral

After a long shower and some serious sleep, Jay finds his way to room f(x,y). "I come bearing beer." Jay calls, knocking on Sherral's door. Barefoot and relaxed, he looks a hell of a lot better than he did last time Sherral saw him.

"Glad to hear it." Jay grins, leaning over Sherral's shoulder to see how the waffles are coming.

The first batch are pretty much ready, so Sherral flips them onto a plate and turns his head slightly to give Jay a quick peck on the corner of his mouth.

"Here's yours."

Jay smiles and returns the kiss, doctoring his plate with strawberries before taking a big bite. "Mmm! Thanks. Waffles were the one thing my grandfather could never get right but these are damn good!"

"The ... waffle machine," Sherral squints at it, "did most of the work."

"Then it's very nice of the bar to give you one." He sits on the edge of the table, careful not the get the food anywhere near the maps.

"It's certainly more useful than I was expecting," Sherral notes.

"You don't make yourself waffles every day?" He asks, licking sauce off his fingertips.

"I'm not here every day," Sherral says, serving up his own waffles and moving to sit by Jay. "Most of the time I'm in Rabanastre. And when I am here - no, there's not a lot of waffle-making afoot."

"Too much hard work." He teases, giving Sherral a gentle shoulder bump.

Wryly: "Exactly."

"Ah, so clearly I'm an excuse to blow off some steam." He grins.

Solemnly: "You fulfil that role admirably."

"I do my best." Jay grins, leaning in to brush a smear of cream from Sherral's lips before pulling him into a soft kiss.

Sherral laughs, kissing back.

When they part: "I did, er, 'blow off steam' a fair amount last night. And today. So thank you, for that."

Jay tilts Sherral's cheek to look him in the eye. "You don't have to thank me. So long as we're both having fun, there's no need to thank me. Believe me, I enjoyed it very much too."He takes Sherral's plate and pulls him into a slow kiss, wrapping his arms around Sherral's waist.

Sherral lets Jay take his plate and kisses back, sliding a hand into his hair.

"... You're also incorrigible," he murmurs.

Jay grins against his lips. "You better believe it." He nods towards the bed. "I'd love to show you just what I mean about the cream and chocolate sauce?"
