Jay's room is very tidy, everything packed down and locked up. Apart from the suit hanging on a stand and the rack of guns set up and waiting.

Jay nods, welcoming Sherral in as he add the holster to the rack.

Sherral steps back, giving it a once over. "It looks good. The suit, I mean. Should be more than enough to fool them."

He nods and turns, getting Sherral to check all of it.

There a distance in Jay, a hardness he rarely shows anyone here but he trusts Sherral to understand that. One solider to another.

Sherral checks it fairly thoroughly, keeping an eye out for any gaps, irregularities, or anything else that might tip someone off. It only takes one person noticing, after all.

Then he gives Jay a quick nod.

Jay returns the nod and starts loading weapons into holsters, knives into boots. They vanish into the suit, linings and flaps designed to cover them.

He's taking an arsenal, more weapons than he had on him when he traveled with Sherral.

He puts up one sleeve, meaning to strap on the wrist blade but stops himself, swallowing a sudden rise of bile at the memory of nightmares in his drugged state.

"You take this." He offers it to Sherral, blade towards himself. "It'll be more use to you than me."

-- Sherral's not sure what to do for a moment. Then he takes the blade by the handle.

"My thanks," he says levelly. "I'll keep it with me until your return."

"Thanks." He won't ask for it back. It has complicated connotations since the serum.

He slips the last of his knives into his boots, pulling out a very particular knife with a wavy blade. He holds it for a moment. Just holding it before slipping it into the sheath inside his jacket.

He picks up the helmet with it's faceless red mask, looking into the black eyes for a moment. "I'm ready."

"Good luck, then. I'll see you on your return."
