Jay's room is it's usual mess of plans and projects with it's wide, comfortable bed. Jay pulls Sherral to him and kisses him slow and deep. It's a passionate kiss but more loving than needy. He's missed Sherral too.

Sherral shivers a little, tracing his fingers down Jay's back.

Jay keeps kissing him, brushing his lips up the side of Sherral's neck.

Sherral lets out a soft noise, tilting his head to one side.

Jay holds Sherral close, enjoying the slow moment of intimacy as he kisses up to the soft skin behind his ear.

Sherral chuckles a little, watching Jay out of the corner of his eye, tracing his fingers up and down the other man's back.

"You don't laugh enough." Jay whispers, nibbling on Sherral's earlobe. "Always the serious soldier."

"I think it'd just unnerve people if I was laughing all the time," Sherral says wryly. "Although you do have a particular knack for getting me to laugh."

"You deserve a good laugh." Jay smiles, nuzzling Sherral's hair. "And you're ever cuter when you laughs."

Sherral turns a little pink, ducking his head a little. "I'll, er, try to do it more often, then."

Jay leans back a little, chuckling. "That blush." He kisses Sherral slowly and deeply.

Sherral kisses back, shutting his eyes a little. "If I didn't know better," he murmurs eventually, "I'd say you enjoy making me blush."

Jay chuckles and nuzzles Sherral's neck. "I never cease to be amazed that a man who just fucked me senseless up against the wall can blush at a complement."

"Well, who wouldn't blush at the attentions of a beautiful man," Sherral says wryly.

"I'd hardly count myself as beautiful." Jay shrugs his scared shoulder. "But you have my undivided attention."

"I would," Sherral says, dropping his head a little to press a kiss to that shoulder.

Jay chuckles and shifts to lay on the bed, pulling Sherral up to lay with him.

He runs a gentle hand over Sherral's side. "How are feeling?"

Sherral laughs a little.

"I feel fine. Should I not?"

"I'm gunna guess with the promotion and all the training involved, you haven't had much time to yourself for a while. Or much downtime." He smoothes a hand over Sherral's lower back.

"Not a lot, no," Sherral admits. "But I was hardly swimming in downtime at the garrison, either, or during the war. I adapt."

"Wow. That would be like me not sparring. How are you adapting?"

"To a lack of downtime? I - can't say I've thought about it much," Sherral says. "Besides, I have more downtime than I rightly know what to do with right now."

Jay idly strokes Sherral's chest. "True. Now you're here, you can relax a little."

"One of the bar's many perks," Sherral says wryly.

"Not to mention good company." He smiles, "And room service."

"The company's passable, I suppose," Sherral jokes with a quick grin, running his hands up Jay's sides.
