Jay opens his door and tossed the suitcase aside. Nothing in there that can't wait. For once, Jay's room is in immaculate order, clearly cleaned and packed up before he went away.

He shrugs off his shirt and waistcoat to reveal his heavily bandaged chest. There are boot prints bruised into his skin and deep cuts and shallow scratches. All and all, he's a mess.

"Thank you for this." He kicks off his shoes and sits on the edge of the bed.

Eric gasps a string of broken words in the tongue of his youth. One might have been a name. Probably not Jay's. It's hard to tell as he is muffling them by pressing his face against Jay's shoulder.

And then he shudders into his own release, snarling against Jay's wet skin.

Jay doesn't mind, doesn't care. He never expected to make Eric cry his name. It's enough that he's moaning, that he's filling Jay with hot blood. He screams his own release. Third times a charm and Jay so so utterly spent.

Eric stays on top of him, heavy and still cool, at least compared to Jay.
He begins to lick at the side of his neck, cleaning his skin.

No heartbeat. No pulse.
His body utterly still again, apart from the small movements of his tongue.

Jay doesn't move much either, well as little as a human can. He licks catch him out and he breathes a moan. He's happy to lay here, too tired and used up to shift just yet.

After a little while, Eric pulls out and rolls off of Jay.
He sits up on the bed and stretches fully, arms in the air.

Jay groans as he stretches out on the bed, not half as sore as he has any right to be. He lets Eric sort himself out before rolling carefully to the edge of the bed. "Shower. I love the fact hot water never runs out here."

Nope, not talking about this. No feels here.

Eric grunts, noncommittally, and follows along.

Nothing to talk about here.

Jay runs the shower and washes himself without acknowledging Eric just yet. They both need time and space to recover from that and neither of them are in the right headspace for mush.

He cleans himself systematically, the way he use to after a long patrol.

Eric washes the way he does when he is alone. Eyes half-closed, soap slick hands moving slowly across his body.

Then he washes his hair and starts drying off.
Trying not to think about anything.

Such as Talbot.
Or the events looming in front of him.
Or anything at all really.

He doesn't like feeling things.

"Pass the shampoo, will you?" Jay mutters distractedly, half way lost in his own thought. Mostly about the bruise and scratches he no longer has.

Eric hands him the bottle. Wordlessly.

[runningred]

Jay takes it with equal silence, finish up and getting out. He dries out with further comment, letting Eric take as long as he need. Instead Jay checks himself in the mirror, needing to see to be sure everything's healed and fine again.

"Your blood is impressive. I don't even think a violet ray would heal that completely." Even some of his older scars are looking reduced.

"It seems to work a little differently each time here," Eric says, as he dries off and hangs the towel.
"But yes. It is."

Godric's line.

[runningred]

"Situational maybe. Or reacting to something in the person drinking it." Jay suggests, tugging at the forelock that is starting to lighten back to it's normal colour. "My system must have been flooded with adrenalin by-products and the like. Feels clear enough now."

Most of the effects of Eric's blood seemed to have died off with the third orgasm.

"Could be," Eric agrees and then he steps closer to take a look at Jay's eyes.

"You seem okay. I'll head off then."

Not touching him.

[runningred]

Jay holds his eye for a moment, resting a hand on Eric's arm. "If you go before I see you next, don't make my mistake. Don't miss."

It's as close to stay safe as he can say right now.

"I won't," Eric says, quietly.

And then he turns away to get dressed so he can leave.

[runningred]

Jay doesn't bother. He could do with the some sleep. "Let Pam know to find me, if she needs anything done on the house."

He doesn't make any move to stop Eric leaving.

"I'll do that," Eric says as he does up his jeans.

"Goodbye Jay."

And then he is gone.

Jay grumbles and flops back into the bed before remembering the sheets desperately need changing. Why does he surrounded himself with people who communicate as badly as his own family?
